We want everyone to be able to browse and buy from Gilded Bloom, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology.
What we do
- We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the standard used under Ontario's Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
- Our custom sections use real buttons and labelled form fields, work with a keyboard, keep text contrast readable, and give images text descriptions.
- Our name personalizer shows a text preview and a character counter, and warns you with an on-screen message if something is missing before you add to cart.
- We review the site whenever we add new pages or features.
Some parts of the store, such as checkout and certain apps, are provided by Shopify and other partners. We choose accessible tools where we can, but this statement isn't a guarantee that every page or third-party service meets a particular standard.
